Project: MTM – Merri Station Electrical & OCS Upgrade

Merri Station Upgrade Enhances Accessibility, Passenger Information and Safety

As part of the Better Stations 3.0 Program, Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) engaged Everon Infrastructure to deliver electrical and OCS upgrades at Merri Station, improving passenger information, accessibility and safety.

The works included the installation, testing and commissioning of Passenger Information Displays, CCTV cameras, public address speakers, hearing loops, Customer Help Point infrastructure and lighting across Platforms 1 and 2. Everon Infrastructure also delivered the associated electrical and communications cabling, conduits, junction boxes and cable support systems, together with the relocation and adjustment of existing CCTV cameras.

All works were carefully planned and completed within a live rail environment to minimise disruption to passengers and station operations. The completed systems improved passenger information, accessibility, safety and the overall customer experience at Merri Station.
