Bike Parking Project Delivers CCTV and Lighting Upgrades Across West Package Stations

As part of the Bike Parking at Train Stations Project, Metro Trains Melbourne engaged Everon to deliver selected electrical, lighting and Operational Control System (OCS) works associated with new bike parking infrastructure across the West Package stations.

The broader project aimed to improve customer amenity and station security through new Parkiteer facilities, bike parking infrastructure, CCTV coverage and lighting upgrades across multiple railway stations.

PROJECT SCOPE:

West Footscray Station

  • Install 4 no. CCTV cameras, including new cabling, cable containment and all associated OCS components from the OCS rack to the final camera positions.
  • Supply, Installation, test and commission 1 no. LED light fitting, cabling, conduit and all associated components.
  • Test and commission 4 no. CCTV cameras, including providing support to MTM infrastructure during CCTV testing and commissioning.

Newport Station

  • Install 5 no. CCTV cameras and 1 no. pole-mounted Field LAN Switch (FLS) cabinet, including new catenary, aerial cabling, conduit containments and all associated OCS components from the OCS rack to the final positions.
  • Remove and decommission 2 no. existing CCTV cameras and associated cabling and OCS components.
  • Test and commission 5 no. CCTV cameras and 1 no. FLS, including support to MTM infrastructure during testing and commissioning.

Keilor Plains Station

  • Install 3 no. CCTV cameras, including new cabling, CCTV brackets, cable containment where required and associated OCS components from the OCS rack to the final camera positions.
  • Test and commission 3 no. CCTV cameras, including providing support to MTM infrastructure during testing and commissioning.

Ginifer Station

  • Install 1 no. CCTV camera, including new cabling, cable containment where required and all associated OCS components from the OCS rack to the final position.
  • Test and commission 1 no. CCTV camera, including providing support to MTM infrastructure during CCTV testing and commissioning.
