Project: MTM – Burnley Station Accessibility Improvements Project

Burnley Station Accessibility Upgrade Enhances Safety, Access and Connectivity for Growing Passenger Demand

Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), on behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), delivered the Burnley Station Accessibility Improvements Project to enhance accessibility, safety and passenger amenity throughout the station underpass and ramp network.

On behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), Metro undertook accessibility upgrade works at Burnley Station to improve connectivity and user experience, in conjunction with Australia Post’s relocation of 3000 employees to its new headquarters adjacent to the station.

This project formed part of a broader initiative to enhance customer amenity and accessibility at key stations across the metropolitan rail network.

As part of this program, Global Rail Australia was engaged to deliver infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving compliance, safety, and access.
