Project: MTM – Burnley Station Electrical & OCS Upgrade Project

Burnley Station Upgraded with Improved Lighting and Enhanced CCTV Coverage

On behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning, Metro Trains Melbourne (Metro) engaged Everon Infrastructure to deliver electrical and OCS upgrades at Burnley Station.

The Burnley Station upgrade improved lighting and CCTV coverage throughout the station’s ramps and underpass areas. The works were undertaken within an extremely busy, fully operational station under strict OHS controls, with careful planning to maintain passenger safety and minimise disruption to rail operations. The project included upgraded LED lighting and new CCTV infrastructure with associated cabling and conduits, enhancing visibility, surveillance, accessibility and long-term system reliability.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Electrical & OCS Works

  • Replacement of 18 existing wall-mounted underpass lights with compliant LED luminaires, using the existing cabling and conduits.
  • Installation of a new wall-mounted LED light between Ramps C and D.
  • Upgrade of eight pole-mounted luminaires across Ramps A, B and E using the existing infrastructure.
  • Installation of three dual-head, vandal-resistant CCTV cameras, including new cabling and conduits.
