Austin Hospital Endoscopy Ward Upgraded with Advanced Nurse Call and Clinical Communication Technology

Everon Infrastructure was engaged by Rauland Australia to undertake installation works for the Responder 5 Nurse Call System at Austin Hospital Endoscopy Ward

The project supported the upgrade of nurse call and clinical communication infrastructure throughout the Level 3 Endoscopy Ward. Delivered within a live healthcare environment, the works included field cabling, nurse call devices, corridor indicators, annunciators and associated cable support systems.

PROJECT SCOPE:

Nurse Call, Communications and Electrical Infrastructure Works

  • Installation of cabling and field equipment for the Rauland Responder 5 Nurse Call System.
  • Installation and point-to-point testing of Cat 6, RG6 coaxial, L-Net and in-room cabling.
  • Fit-off of nurse call stations, corridor indicators and mini corridor indicators throughout the Endoscopy Ward.
  • Installation of nurse call annunciators, ceiling-mounted brackets, NCAP brackets and associated accessories.
  • Installation of structured cabling outlets for staff station consoles and workflow terminals.
  • Installation of Cat 6, RG6 coaxial and 2.5 mm² twin power cabling to the head-end equipment in the communications room.
  • Installation of catenary cables and associated cable reticulation and support systems.
  • Coordination and installation of Rauland equipment in accordance with approved shop drawings and room layouts.
